fear and prejudice which still surrounds the term 'mental illness'.
- To campaign for improved standards and forms of mental health-care,
support and treatment.
- To encourage and demonstrate good practice in the development of local
mental health services.
- To provide a legal casework service to service members and their families
and to monitor and influence legislation and policy.
- To collect and distribute information, to sponsor research, to issue
publications and provide advice.
- To provide a programme of education and training for mental health
workers, volunteers, service members and members of the public.
- To raise funds for the work of MIND.
