Wellbeing Group Associate- Currently Paused.

Can you use your stunning skills and life experience to help people with mental health problems to improve their lives and wellbeing?

 

This role involves sessional work based on grant funding and community fund raising. Working alongside a qualified Mind therapist, you will facilitate a programme of activity to improve the mental health and wellbeing of a group of between 3 - 12 participants.

 

This is likely to be on a weekly basis which each session lasting between 1-5 hours. Number of weeks will be dependent on funding and programme of work.

Locations will include appropriately sourced community venues around Burton on Trent, Lichfield, Burntwood and Tamworth. Digital delivery is an option depending on the activity.

 

Skills will include at least one of the following: arts, music, fitness, sports, horticulture, gardening, mindfulness, life skills, digital skills, but we are very open to ideas.  Skills will include co-productive programme design and delivery of community and group projects to support people with mental health problems and capability to improve emotional wellbeing. Skills and experience will include supervising volunteers to actively contribute to group sessions. Skills and experience will include understanding the role of active participation, evaluation, monitoring and continuous development.

Qualification and experience will include evidence of previous success of the above, such as a training qualification and a qualification in your field of expertise. You will need to have (at minimum):

  • Evidence of qualifications requested.

  • Enhanced DBS check for children and vulnerable adults.

  • Up to date Safeguarding policies and procedure and evidence of training.

  • Up to date health and safety risk assessments for your activities.

  • Two referees that can vouch for the quality of your work and your ability to work with vulnerable groups.

  • Insurance appropriate to your activity.

  • A bank account in the UK.

  • Business use on your car insurance (if driving).
