Role Description
Team Leader on the Future Focus service, as funded by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT)
As the Team Leader, they will support a team of approximately ten to twelve full and part-time Recovery workers, some Recovery Workers employed, and line-managed by community partner organisations.
Future Focus Recovery Workers to offer a range of flexible support to individuals with long term mental health problems across East Staffordshire, Lichfield District, and Tamworth.

They will advise and support Recovery Workers with assertive case management, helping people with mental health problems towards recovery and independence, acting as the point of reference for new participants and allocate cases to Recovery Workers based on initial review. The Recovery Team Leader will represent the team to partner organisations who employ Recovery Workers at key meetings, such as Steering Group meetings, and to referring agencies.

Safe Haven Recovery Worker!

The Safe Haven Recovery Worker will work as part of a small team to provide a public-facing role in the delivery of a Crisis Café Mental Health Provision.
They will provide a welcoming and understanding approach to supporting service members made up of people with mental health problems who may attend in mental distress or crisis. They will provide an assessment of the level of need and provide mental health first aid and/or provision which distracts from mental health distress until the service member feels safe to leave.
They will also operate a community help point supporting with low-level psychoeducation and signposting to other opportunities for wellbeing. Regular attendees will be asked to sign up as ‘members’ to promote recovery planning. Recover Workers may, from time to time, support Crisis Intervention workers and the police with the provision of a safe place for people in mental distress.​
