We’re so close, just £1300 short of being able to run our Face the World project, which celebrates mental health, neurodiversity, and creativity through performance.

This 16-week programme will help people who may be living with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia or other neurodiverse traits to:
💚 Build confidence and self-esteem
🎭 Express themselves through drama and performance
🌈 Connect with others who understand and accept them
Burton & District Mind Development and Sustainability Officer Keri Lawrence said
“Burton & District Mind are working with Shoebox Theatre on a new and exciting approach using a blend of psychoeducation, drama and performance to help people in Tamworth in just this situation.
Funded by Tamworth Borough Council and crowdfunding, we will provide 16 weeks of expert support and facilitation, which will lead to people feeling better within themselves, having better social connections and friendships as they meet their 'tribe'.
We will build their confidence to Face the World.”
The project ends with a special performance created and performed by participants, sharing their unique voices and stories.
