The week starting on Monday, 12th May, through to Sunday, 18th May 2025, is Mental Health Awareness Week! A week dedicated to encouraging everyone to come together and discuss something which impacts every single one of us in some way, mental health.

This year, the theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is ‘Mental Health is everything’.
What does this mean?
By acknowledging that ‘Mental Health is everything’, we are accepting that it truly is connected to every part of life, whether that means your physical health, work, finances, relationships, the places we go and the people we meet. It is everything.
For example, if you know you need to go to a specific place, you might experience changes in your mental health, or perhaps you are experiencing stress due to financial issues. It's all linked, and through acknowledging this, we also acknowledge how important it is that we take steps to look after our mental health.
Even if it’s just something small, like ensuring that you have 30 minutes every day to yourself where you can read a book.
Or taking that first step and deciding to reach out for support for the first time.
How can you get involved?
Here are some different ways you can get involved this week…
You could take a moment, close your eyes and just think about the things in your life that impact your mental health. Whether it’s something you find that provides a bit of a positive boost, or something that you think may cause some stress. This way, by acknowledging these things, you may be able to start working towards finding ways to look after your mental health more. It is important that we take steps to look after our mental health.
Talking to the people around you all about mental health. You could share information such as the help that is available, general information, or even just talk about your own personal mental health journeys, which could inspire someone else to take that first step towards bettering their own.
Sharing any posts you may come across on your social media, this might seem like a small thing, but it really does help! For example, it could lead to someone who sees it for the first time and be an opportunity for them to learn just how important their mental health is.
Spend some time learning about mental health and educating yourself, this could be an opportunity to dispel any potential stigmas you may have about mental health.
Come along to one of the events we are running/supporting! (you can find more information on these further down the page).
If you are feeling particularly inspired, perhaps this is an opportunity to get into fundraising, or even just offering a donation (no matter how small), which will go towards funding vital mental health services in your local community.
And lastly, but most importantly, this could be an opportunity for you to better your own mental health. If you are struggling, perhaps this could be the perfect time to reach out for support.
What will we be doing?
Throughout the week, we’ll be posting some helpful mental health information across our social media, so be sure to keep an eye out for that, and if you can any likes and shares will be massively appreciated.
