Volunteering for your local Mind

We are looking for more volunteers across East Staffs, Lichfield and Tamworth to help us run our vital peer support groups and for supporting our new Future Focus Recovery Workers with home visits!

At Burton and District Mind, we appreciate all help to continue providing high quality service , and fighting for better mental health for all. That might be through donations, fundraising or joining our team through volunteering.

If you are looking to help out and support us and would like a more hands on approach, volunteering is a truly great opportunity. We recently supported three volunteers into paid employment within mental health services - so it can support a change of career also.

You can put in the hours that you wish, even if its just be one day a week we appreciate the help! This can be a great opportunity for anyone who:

- May be looking to give back to the community

- Gain some experience

- Wants to support Burton and District Mind

- Sees the value in looking after mental health

This is an incredibly exciting time to be a volunteer at Burton and District Mind. Back in 2021, we had no volunteers at all but since then we have made so much progress with twenty people donating time and skills each week. We even received a commendation for Best New Volunteer Team!

You will definitely be in safe hands at Burton and District Mind:

“The best things about Burton Mind are the people. The team are committed and assionate about helping those with mental health problems. The ethos of giving people a chance and the support that is provided to the team members helps me to feel I am valued."
