About Burton and District Mind

We’re Burton and District Mind, the mental health charity (Charity reg. 1140492). We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.

We employ a brilliant expert team of 9 dedicated helpful people, supported by a bank of counselling and non-counselling associates and a handful of carefully selected volunteers.

About Mentor

The Mentor pilot is part of a 3-year Midlands Engine funded programme, the ‘Mental Health and Productivity Pilot’ (MHPP), of which national Mind is a key partner. The overall objective of MHPP is to support the Midlands to become the best place to ‘live and work’.

About the Mental Health Employment Liaison Worker

The MHELW will provide support to employees identified as having significant mental health problems (i.e., those who are currently receiving NHS primary and secondary mental healthcare support), to remain engaged and productive at work. The worker will act as a liaison between employees, employers and mental healthcare providers to provide tailored advice and support on what good workplace wellbeing practices look like for each individual and how stakeholders can help achieve this.
