A huge thank you for the support from Argos Distribution Centre – the generously donated funds of £3,300 really kick starts our ‘30 for 30’ fundraising campaign. It will be put to a range of services that Burton and District Mind provide. This includes our Low Cost Counselling offer, which provides the local community with a much needed therapy service that compliments the local NHS service provision. The funding could cover around 165 much needed counselling sessions, helping people with anxiety, depression, low mood and fears around dealing with Covid-19 and the effects this is having on families.

Ian Baker, General Manager, stated "It was a pleasure to be able to support such a good cause. The money was raised by our warehouse colleagues and they voted to which local charities we would support. Glad to hear the donation will be put to such good use."

Again, £3300 is a humbling amount and we are very grateful for all the generosity of Argos and for the consideration of the team!

Burton and District Mind have been established since 1991; 2021 marks our 30th Birthday. We are challenging the community to raise funds with us, asking for people to do 30 things, one for each year in operation. This could be a sponsored run for 30km, or have a non-stop gaming session for 30 hours, or bake and sell 30 cakes!
